Montse Campins was born in Barcelona in 1955.
Her interest for photography took her to California, where she obtained a BA in Fine Arts from the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena.
While working in advertising and fashion, she started to dive into a variety of photographic expressions which widened her vision and have kept her curiosity alive ever since. Montse combined teaching at Elisava with editorial and commercial work before focusing on a more personal path.
Her career is also dedicated to social projects, such as her series of portraits María, her present work Señoras, or her collaboration in the book Tan cerca, Tan lejos for the NGO Plan.
Since 1983, she has participated in a variety of collective exhibitions as well as showing her creative work as a solo artist. Being Viajando con Olga, Café Solo, and Habitaciones some of her works.
